I don't usually wear red lipstick, with one exception, Christmas. Throw on a pair of jeans, your favorite Christmas sweater, and apply red lipstick. Voila! You are ready to say Merry Christmas wherever you go. I love the festive look of Mac Ruby Woo; it has blue undertones, balancing the color perfectly. It is neither too cool nor too warm. As Goldilocks would say, "it just right." You can find this at Nordstrom.

For holiday parties and get togethers, paint your nails with this fun color from OPI. It's called Tinseltown Red and I can't wait to put it on my nails this holiday season. Has just the right amount of sparkle to it and who doesn't like sparkle?

May your holidays be Merry & Bright!

Velvet has made a comeback and these soft velvet leggings made by Spanx are fantastic.

They can be dressed up or dressed down but feel amazing for whatever occasion you are planning. Pair them with a red sweater and a cute black pump and you are ready for the holidays. Ring in the New Year with a fun gold or silver top. They are a comfy and cozy addition to your winter wardrobe and your best friend when it comes to enjoying those holiday calories.

Several years ago I fell in love with bottle brush trees and they’ve become part of my favorite Christmas décor every year! I collect a few new ones each year and use them to decorate throughout our home. You’ll find them on our mantel, in a gold tray on our kitchen island nestled in delicate faux snow and on our Christmas dining table. I believe the tiny trees that look like evergreens, although many are white or gold make the space they adorn extra beautiful. The best part is that bottlebrush trees will go with any style décor and you don’t neccesarily have to take them down in January or February, for that matter. Follow this link for some adorable decorating tips and a couple of DIY bottebrush tree ideas you may want to incorporate into your home.

May your Christmas sparkle with joy and love!

I’m always on the lookout for non-toxic beauty and household items and I recently discovered Grow Fragrance spray from the Just Ingredients Blog that I follow on Instagram (@justingredients). It is like a clean version of Febreeze but is 100% plant based, and contains no phthalates, parabens or toxins. You can use it as a room spray or on rugs, pillows, sheets and upholstered items (test a small area, just in case). I ordered the Vanilla Peppermint and Pine Forest scents for the holidays. I have been spraying the Pine Forest on my artificial Christmas tree to give it that fresh-cut smell. It has a wonderful aroma that smells natural and is not overpowering like many room sprays are. The Vanilla Peppermint has that Christmas comfort smell that reminds me of my favorite time of year. Many of the scents are available here on Amazon, but if you want the Vanilla Peppermint, it is only available directly on the Grow Fragrance website or from the Just Ingredients website. You can get 2 mix or match bottles for $22.

Wishing you a holiday home filled with the delightful smells of the season!
