It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

So the stockings are hung, the tree is decorated and the house is illuminated with lights letting our neighbors know, "Yes, this is my favorite time of the year!" Alexa is playing non-stop holiday music, the Hallmark movies have begun, and the house smells of freshly made cookies, pine and cedar. I will have to confess that this is the 1st time in my life of 60+ years that I have decided to go with an artificial tree. My children were surprised to say the least.

I know it's not the same, but.. It is beautiful and sparkles just as bright! As a minor consolation, I have a very large fresh cedar garland draped along the staircase bannister, so the smell of the wintery forest still dwells in the Tharp home.

I also have my collection of various Nativity scenes reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas. I am all about the fluff and fun and all the Christmas traditions, but the birth of our Lord and Savior is the real reason for the season.

Seeing the holidays through the eyes of my grandchildren warms my heart and brings me such joy. I hope that you are all able to celebrate the holiday with some of your loved ones this year and enjoy the traditions that you have made with your family. I wanted to share another video of a Christmas arrangement that you might enjoy making for your home. Have a wonderful holiday and Merry Merry Christmas!
